More than words

Words in conversations from Monday have been on my mind {all week}.

Mostly I keep thinking about the strength given and unity created by honest sharing.

Alone these are just words, but together they tell a story {one I think most people have felt at some point}.

On my own.
Struggling.
Exhausted.
Tough.
Demanding.

Overwhelmed.
Me too.
No time.
Every second.
Consuming.
But.
Easier this time.
Confidence.
Calmer.
Same here.
Lucky.
Blessed.
Grateful.
Happy.
Together.

~ These words were from conversations on Motherhood on Monday {but I think they apply to so many more scenarios}. I'm grateful for the beautiful women who shared them, and for the courage, empathy, understanding and bond that comes from honest sharing and helps build stronger foundations in this village.

~ Also grateful this week for natural medicine, fresh lemons and the dark chocolate my husband bought home last night. Especially grateful to be able to help others, and for the help offered my way and given so freely. I'm getting better at the asking, but it's oh-so-wonderful {and fills me with so much gratitude} when I don't have to.

~ Linking with gratitude to Maxabella and Kidspot's 52 Weeks of Grateful. You can check it out here.

What are you most grateful for this week?

  1. Elisa, it sounds like your village is really one to be grateful for. As for the chocolate.....no explanation needed xx

  2. One of our parenting essentials is dark chocolate :)

I am grateful for connecting with other Mums too, especially when I find out that I'm not the only person struggling with 'motherhood' and they are experiencing similar problems to me. x

  3. Yep, I can relate Elisa. Ebb and tide sums it up for me. And there are few things more essential to us Mama's than some strength in solidarity. It is a blessing to have a close-knit network around us xo

  4. I feel quite overwhelmed with emotion reading all those words, I have felt each of them many times on this journey.

  7. Just saying those words out loud or in type are soothing & a release. Hurrah for natural medicine (says me the pharmacologist) as i believe i made it through Winter with only a hiccup of a cold thanks to endless juicing at home, lots of garlic, just don't smell my breath!! Love Posie
