Deciphering direction
I had been doubting myself and my ability, but mostly seeking clarity.
Deciphering direction. And trying to turn my dreams into actions.
I was thinking an awful lot.
And when I realised {after a long while} I promptly decided to stop.
That's when I found this affirmation:
"There is no limit to what I can accomplish if I know the direction I am going and am willing to make the effort."
It's been on repeat here.
I'm choosing to believe in effort, perfect timing, opportunity and that sometimes you just have to take a chance so that dreams can come true.
xx
What are you affirming right now? x

That's me all over. Although I feel I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment. I know what I want to do but the physical time I need is when I'm at work but in order to do what I want I also need work. Trying to work out ways around this catch 22. I'm sure ill get there.
ReplyDeleteI have been doubting my abilities A LOT, needed this reminder ;)
DeleteOh Rachael I feel the catch 22 often. I am working on the principle of if I do a tiny bit each day, I will eventually get there. Even if some days I get none of what I wanted to do done at all. I hope your project moves along smoothly and beautifully. I have faith in you and your abilities! xx
DeleteGreat affirmation!
ReplyDeleteRight now I am in a place of letting go what isn't in the best interests of myself and my family. The affirmation of the day lately is "breath in, take a step back, let go, breath out"
And it is working, we are letting go and breathing deeper, and with it making room for more of the life we want to live.
Oh I love that affirmation Kim. That's one for life! I keep relearning letting go. Right when I think I've got the hang of it, up it comes again :) Thank you for your beautiful words x
DeleteI have a similar quote that I go by... "It's never too late to be what you might have been" - George Eliot. Not that I doubt my abilities... I think I'm capable of anything but being a mother in my 30's I have a tendency to think that it's too late or what it is that I want to achieve will take time... It's never too late. As long as I'm alive, have my health and my daughters health and love and encouragement from the people who matter to me most... I can accomplish ANYTHING! I hope you can find ways to put your dreams into action and push that doubt aside and out of mind Elisa :)

This is the most beautiful comment Sophie! So empowered. I love it. And amazing quote. Thank you xx
DeleteGood affirmation Elisa. I like "Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."A.A. Milne. Reminds me that Im doing better than I think that I am!
ReplyDeleteI love that so much! Reminds me to remind others how amazing they are too x
DeleteI'm really stuck on believing in something and just making it happen. I'm always an initially stressed and somewhat negative thinker when I try something new, and now I'm trying to really be positive and it really makes a difference.
ReplyDeleteYes definitely! Visualizing it and believing it are so powerful. I need to do more of that! Thank you xx

ReplyDeleteOMG are we in sync lately - this is exactly where i am at right now -i am trying to get clear, i am trying to believe in myself and i am trying to move forward in a direction i will be happy with. in the process i feel overwhelmed, scared and need to keep taking deep breaths! I would love to chat with you Elisa if you ever want to. via email or skype, whatever works for you, but i would personally love it hon - xxx
ReplyDeleteLots of deep full breaths going on here too Deb :) Always helps create clarity! Email would be great for me. Still haven't got Skype sorted since we moved! xxx
DeleteI can so relate with this Elisa. I have been tossing around ideas about what I want to do when I eventually return to work. I love being creative (in case you didn't know!) and keep having thoughts about some type of job where I can be arty/crafty with littlies, but have been doubting myself and my abilities.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to think clearly, when I have so much going on in my mind, so think an affirmation is just what I need xx
Oh me too - the affirmation is helping with clarity! I think you would be brilliant at that Julie! I love your craft ideas! Wish I was naturally creative in that way. I'm sure the perfect role will present in perfect timing for you xx
DeleteWow. I am so grateful to have stumbled on your blog today. So beautiful. And your words....a perfect thread to stitch all of the doubts in my heart right now. I am on the verge of jumping into something big and your words feel like a gentle parachute. XO
ReplyDeleteThank you Chrissy! Best wishes for your something big!! I look forward to checking out your blog xx
Deletebeautiful post. Seems a lot of people feel the same way, I know I sure do feel like this often when I'm at home with my kiddies. Slow and steady, dreams come to pass. I hope some amazing new doors open for you :)
