Hopes, dreams, changes and goals

I had big hopes for May, perhaps too big. I thought it would herald loads of changes, and to some extent it has. But I'll admit I was hoping for something extra magical, for a bolder-than-before kind of change...

Instead, I made changes. I stopped waiting for change. And {with Grace & Eve by my side} started living the dreams I'd been having of three of us sharing, loving and witnessing the world together.

And this month began a little sky obsession {photo documented on instagram}. I can't help but look to the sky each morning, and in the middle of the day and night-time too. Sometimes the three of us sit outside and stare at the clouds {and search for the day-time moon}.

But mainly I'm looking to the sky in the morning. I look up and wonder what the day will bring, and {due to a little miss I-love-to-rise-before-the-sun} I find myself stealing glances out a dark window in the early mornings waiting for {and wondering about} the time when the night-sky will dance with the new day.

I'm making June about journalling and setting goals. I've got so many ideas running around in this mind of mine, and so many hopes {and wishes too}. But what I need is clarity.

With two little girls keeping me busy, it feels like I've had no time to stop. And in a way, I think I've been biding my time... But {with my journal and pen by my side} I'm ready to set some goals, and I'll be keeping happiness and gratitude close to my heart as I do.

Are you a goal-setter? And do you journal?

  2. Such a thoughtful post. I too am feeling the need to get back to journaling these days, to write down my hopes and dreams for the years ahead, and to put in writing the many things I am grateful for.

Thanks to your inspiration it will start today.

    Enjoy your weekend.

  5. Journalling and goals sounds like a good plan, Elisa. I'm hopeless at goal setting and even more pathetic about actually doing something about them!! x

  6. What a beautiful post! I can resonate in so many ways - the sky hold much allure and mystery to me as well (plus I have a pre-dawn waker too!) and love that it can signify so much possibility laying in wait.

Best of luck with those dreams - it sounds like you are well on your way x

  7. Gorgeous images, Elisa. I hope all of your plans and dream for the month ofJune come true:) I'm a journal-aholic. I love to vent my day on paper and have done since I was a child. I do it more via my blog nowadays but still have some journals on the go - a house building one, a garden one, a Lewi one... I love taking notes and writing down ideas and making lists. Love it! Happy Sunday to you x

  8. J have projects, rather than goals. These make them more actionable for me.

Thanks for sharing these images - they're so warm and personal, and made me smile,

  9. I love the sky and make a point of looking at it too - especially in the afternoons on my way home from work. The vistas on my drive home are always amazing.

The ournalling sounds like a good plan too - something I have been meaning to try myself.

  10. I really need to sit down and write some goals too. I'm in that zone where you're so busy chasing your tail that you don't know where you're going and where you've been, you know?

  12. Oh, I am definitely a goal setter, and I journal! The goals keep me focused, and the journal keeps me sane! What a wonderful time of your life, Elisa! My sons are grown, and I miss those days so much. Soak it all in, my friend. I knew it would go by in the blink of an eye, and it did.
