Gratitude is clarity

It's funny how in a week that's already a busy working one a few extra levels of crazy can get thrown in... hubby away at a work conference, then my little miss three burning a fever and fighting a cold... It's as if the universe was trying to tell me...

You're stronger than you think.

You can get more done than you knew you were capable of.

It's time to face your fears.

Today you will accept help... and today you will accept that you can't do it all on your own.

You will say no, and then surrender the guilt you associate with that word.

And then, perhaps most of all the universe reminded me...

You are supported in all the ways you hoped.

And it's amid days of chaos that gratitude comes in moments and reflections, but at the end of the week this gratitude is my clarity.

xx

What are you most grateful for today? Was there any lessons in chaos thrown into your week?

  1. Accepting help and moreso asking for it is something I find hard to do too. And when I get it I am humbled and very grateful.

Today I am grateful for clarity and a calm state of mind.

  2. I learnt that the old saying of 'you can drive a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink' can definitely be altered to 'you can provide everything for a cat to give a urine sample - but you cannot make her wee'! At least I got a blog from the experience!

  4. It's amazing what we can do, that we doubted we could, Elisa. Accepting help is big, but asking for it is huge! I hope your little Miss 3 is feeling much better xx

  5. I am learning to listen to the universe so much more lately, and it is amazing what it presents to you when you're open to it. Wishing you and your beautiful family a lovely week ahead. xx

  6. I am grateful my baby girl survived a shocking fall tonight. I am just hoping and praying that she wakes up fine tomorrow. Makes you realise how vulnerable they are. xx

  7. what a lovely, lovely post, Elisa. You express it so eloquently. It reminds me of the quote: "Don't pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one". I think that was Bruce Lee :)

  10. That's beautiful Elisa, I couldn't agree more! I didn't get to my grateful post this week, but not for lack of thinking about it and being grateful.

  11. I'm grateful for hot water. We had no hot water over the weekend. I think the element is on the way out. Our oven has also just stopped working and I have a sick boy. So I know that very soon I'll be grateful for health and an oven that works. Sometimes you don't realize how lucky you are until you haven't got it. xxoo
